Last night was Halloween! Here is Ty all dressed for the party.
On display at the village is the House of Skulls which
houses 40 trophy skulls from Monsopiad which are over 300 years old. Around the
village we were able to participate in cultural activities including the
blowpipe, rice wine making, stilt walking, basket weaving, and fire
making. They also let us try many of the
areas fruits and handmade treats and other area delicacies including whitchity
(sp?) grubs which were freshly grabbed out of a decaying log. Tyler was the only brave sole and ate the
huge grub. He said that just as seen on
“Bizarre Foods” it tastes like peanuts.

The finale was a tribal ethnic show with cultural dance,
costumes and unique musical instruments.
